Responsibilities or duties

All ISK Teaching Assistants thrive on learning and professional growth. They are team-oriented and committed to ensuring the success of each student through the ISK Mission, Vision, Educational Aims, and Values. Teaching Assistants work closely in collaborative partnerships with faculty, students, families, and the community to build a culture grounded in trust. Together, they support educational experiences that are experiential, integrated, and personalized. They believe in the power of Passion, Creativity, and Ambition and nurture and empower students to develop the competencies, skills, and dispositions needed to actively learn, create, solve problems, and engage in the world around them. The Elementary School Homeroom Teaching Assistant supports student learning, wellbeing, and classroom operations through collaboration with teachers and active engagement in classroom instruction, supervision, and student support. All ISK Teaching Assistants facilitate learning environments that promote belonging, inclusion, equity, justice, and well-being for all learners. Qualifications or requirements

Diploma or Degree in Education

Special Education certification or training preferred

Fluent English speaker with strong mathematics, reading, writing, and communication skills

Familiarity with technology and online applications

Positive, collaborative, and student-centered approach

Professional and ethical approach to work

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment
