BACKGROUND
The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a leading pan-African research institution committed to strengthening the research capacity of African researchers and institutions to generate evidence that informs policy and practice for sustainable development. APHRC is seeking to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated Education and Technology Researcher to join its Education research theme.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of research projects on education and technology in Africa.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
- Disseminate research findings through publications, presentations, and policy briefs.
- Supervise research assistants and junior researchers.
- Contribute to proposal development and fundraising activities.
- Engage with stakeholders, including policymakers, educators, and community members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A PhD in Education, Technology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing research projects.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in an African context is an added advantage.
