- Teach the principles of educational psychology including learning theories, cognitive development, and student motivation.
- Supervise students in applied research on learner differences, learning environments, and assessment strategies.
- Conduct research on learning processes, classroom dynamics, and the impact of psychological factors on educational outcomes.
- Train students in the application of psychological principles to improve teaching, learning, and classroom management.
- Develop teaching materials on learning disabilities, giftedness, and mental health and well-being of students.
- Guide students in understanding the role of educational psychology in curriculum design and instructional approaches.
- Collaborate with schools and educational institutions on psychological assessment and support programs.
- Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.
REQUIREMENTS: PARTTIME LECTURER
- Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
- Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
- Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;
- At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
- Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered
- Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The successful candidates will be offered a competitive remuneration package in accordance with the existing Terms and Conditions of Service.
