Background

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a consultant to provide expertise on electric 2 and 3-wheelers. This role is crucial for advancing sustainable transportation solutions within the region.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current landscape of electric 2 and 3-wheelers in the target region.
• Identify key challenges and opportunities for the adoption and scaling of electric 2 and 3-wheelers.
• Develop policy recommendations and strategies to promote the use of electric 2 and 3-wheelers.
• Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry players, and civil society organizations.
• Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as engineering, environmental science, public policy, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in the field of sustainable transportation, with a focus on electric vehicles.
• Strong understanding of the electric 2 and 3-wheeler market, including technology, policy, and economic aspects.
• Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.

Experience Required

A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
