We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Nairobi. This role will be instrumental in managing and executing projects, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the company's growth.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Engaging with clients to understand technical and functional requirements.
- Preparing technical proposals, quotations, and design concepts aligned with client needs.
- Providing technical input during tendering and project clarification stages.
- Supporting project execution by addressing client queries and design changes.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and power distribution systems.
- Proven experience in the design and manufacture of electrical panels / distribution boards.
- Hands-on experience working with or leading a workshop team.
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, codes, and best practices.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals and client documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies
Essential skills include:
- Strong electrical design and drafting skills (AutoCAD, or similar tools).
- Excellent understanding of power systems, protection devices, and control components.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to translate client requirements into practical, compliant designs.
- High attention to detail, quality, and safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Added Advantage
The following will be considered an advantage:
- Professional registration.
- Experience with testing, commissioning, and factory acceptance tests (FAT).
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and workshop practices.
- Engage with clients to understand technical and functional requirements.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and design concepts aligned with client needs.
- Provide technical input during tendering and project clarification stages.
- Support project execution by addressing client queries and design changes.
