English / Global Perspectives Teacher (Cambridge Curriculum)

Job Summary:

The English / Global Perspectives Teacher delivers high-quality instruction that develops students' communication, literacy, research, critical thinking, and collaborative learning skills in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum. The role encourages students to become confident communicators and globally aware citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English and Global Perspectives.
• Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, research, and analytical skills.
• Facilitate inquiry-based learning, debates, presentations, and collaborative projects.
• Prepare students for Cambridge assessments and examinations.
• Design and administer assessments aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report student progress.
• Encourage independent learning, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records and assessment data.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and development.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular programs, and professional development activities.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, and school policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Literature, Humanities, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGDE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Cambridge English and/or Global Perspectives is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to inspire critical thinking and student engagement.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth.
