Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nyahururu, Kenya, for an Estate Manager. The Estate Manager will oversee the daily operations of the estate, ensuring efficient management of resources and seamless execution of farming and production activities. Key responsibilities include managing agricultural processes, supervising a diverse team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, overseeing budgets and financial planning, and implementing sustainable farming practices. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to address challenges to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in agricultural estate management, including familiarity with farming processes and efficient use of resources. Experience in team leadership, staff supervision, and personnel management. Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and operational planning. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to promote sustainable farming practices. Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards in agricultural operations. Excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure smooth coordination across teams. Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field. Prior experience in horticulture or floriculture is a strong advantage, especially within an export-focused business.
