Background

The Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) is a global non-profit organization that mobilizes a worldwide community of volunteers to create maps of places where people live and work, but are missing from maps. This data is used by humanitarian organizations and local governments to respond to natural disasters, reduce risk, and promote economic development.

Responsibilities

As an Executive Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to senior leadership, ensuring efficient operations and effective communication. Your duties will include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, organizing travel arrangements, and maintaining confidential records. You will also assist with project coordination, event planning, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software. Experience with virtual collaboration tools is a plus. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are highly valued.

Experience

Previous experience in an administrative or executive assistant role is required. Experience working in a non-profit or humanitarian organization is an advantage.

Additional Notes

This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 20 hours per week. The role is remote and open to applicants globally.
