Our client, a multinational in the Telecommunication sector, is looking for an Executive Head of HR & Administration, for their offices

He/ She is responsible for leading the HR and Administration department by providing the overall strategic direction for the department, creating an enabling a high performance work environment and culture which supports the organization’s, strategic and business objectives through planning, directing and overseeing all HR and Administrative operational activities. This position provides oversight to the HR Manager, HR Business Partner, Officer, Administration and Executive Driver in setting the direction, enforcing policies, driving best practices and overseeing efficiency. The incumbent should also possess excellent administrative and corporate governance skills to drive best practices and mitigate risks in the business. The Executive Head HR and Administration works closely with the CEO and other Executive Heads to ensure the organisation’s strategic goals and performance objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing team through effective talent acquisition, development, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Implement HR strategies across key functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, succession planning, employee relations, labour relations, and compliance.
  • Provide strategic HR support and counsel to management, including policy development, decision-making guidance, and interpretation of regulations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ghanaian employment legislation and internal policies, advising leadership on required actions.
  • Oversee Administration, including fleet and facilities management, ensuring cost-effective operations, vendor management, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Lead risk mitigation initiatives within HR and Administration to optimize lifecycle costs, safeguard assets, and maintain functional, safe facilities.
  • Manage third-party contractors and vendors, ensuring strong contractual relationships and effective delivery of office maintenance, installations, and services.
  • Drive special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring successful execution through planning, coordination, communication, and evaluation.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of corporate experience in a Human Resources Generalist function, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Administration, including Fleet and Facilities Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Ghanaian employment laws and proven ability to apply relevant legislation.
  • Experience in supplier and contractor negotiations, vendor evaluation, selection, and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize needs into clear, influential presentations and work effectively across multiple internal functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Self-motivated leader with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to drive results and achieve departmental goals.
