Responsibilities or duties
Fabrication Duties
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and workorders
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using tools such as grinders, cutters, and welding equipment
- Perform welding (MIG/TIG/Arc) as required
- Measure and mark materials for accurate fabrication
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications
Machine Operation
- Operate machines such as CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, presses, or cutting machines
- Set up machines and adjust settings for optimal performance
- Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency and quality
- Load and unload materials into machines
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machines
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition
- Follow workplace safety standards and use PPE at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Requirements
- Possession of a Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, or a related technical field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various welding techniques and the use of specialized machine tools.
- Strong ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering and technical drawings.
- Thorough understanding of safety standards and protocols within a manufacturing environment.
Experience needed
- Proven professional experience in metal fabrication and industrial machine operation.

- Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle demanding workshop tasks.
