The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s physical infrastructure, environmental services, and non-clinical support operations to ensure a safe, clean, functional, and efficient healthcare environment. The role provides strategic and operational leadership for facilities, housekeeping, laundry, kitchen, grounds, and waste management services while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and efficient resource utilization.
- Oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, and operation of hospital facilities.
- Ensure hospital buildings, utilities, equipment, and surrounding grounds remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for infrastructure and equipment.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Lead facility improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise Laundry, Kitchen, Grounds, Housekeeping, and Waste Management teams.
- Monitor quality and efficiency of laundry services.
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure safe food preparation and quality meal service.
- Manage grounds maintenance and landscaping activities.
- Ensure uninterrupted delivery of support services across the hospital.
- Coordinate waste segregation, collection, storage, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare waste management regulations.
- Promote environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of environmental hygiene.
- Prepare departmental work plans and operational budgets.
- Monitor resource utilization and operational performance.
- Manage service contracts, suppliers, and external contractors.
- Implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to support hospital operations.
- Prepare departmental reports and resource requirement plans.
