Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain company vehicles (pick-ups, canters, and trucks) in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are well-maintained and clean.
  • Plan routes effectively and ensure timely delivery of goods to designated destinations.
  • Handle delivery-related documentation including delivery notes, goods received forms, and transport logs.
  • Assist with loading and offloading of cargo as required.
  • Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company driving policies.
  • Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics staff to ensure smooth flow of goods.
  • Maintain accurate mileage and fuel consumption records.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in driving, preferably handling pick-ups, canters, or trucks
  • Valid Kenya Driving License – Categories C and D1
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
  • Familiarity with logistics operations, transport documentation, and basic vehicle maintenance
  • Excellent understanding of traffic rules, road safety, and regional routes (especially in the Coast region)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading when needed
