About the Role:
Our Client is looking for a high-performing Field Sales Executive (Closer) to join our Sales & Business Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting qualified leads into signed deals while ensuring profitability and brand standards. You will work closely with developers, contractors, architects, quantity surveyors and high-value homeowners to deliver solutions that are strong, stylish and secure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pipeline Development & Territory Management:
- Build and manage a territory plan targeting developers, contractors, architects, QS firms, and premium retail clients.
- Source opportunities through outbound outreach (calls, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, referrals, expos, site walk-ins, and partner networks).
- Maintain at least 34× pipeline coverage vs. monthly quota, ensuring accurate CRM updates.
2. Client Discovery & Solution Design:
- Conduct site and office meetings to assess requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Recommend tailored solutions including product systems, colours, glass types, and add-ons.
- Coordinate technical surveys with Estimations/Operations and interpret BOQs/drawings.
3. Proposal, Negotiation & Closing:
- Manage the quotation process end-to-end with accuracy and speed.
- Present proposals, handle objections, and negotiate within defined guardrails to protect margin.
- Deploy effective closing techniques to secure signed contracts, deposits, and timely approvals.
- Handover confirmed projects to Operations while staying engaged for variations and upselling.
4. Account Growth & Market Insights:
- Expand wallet share with existing clients through referrals and repeat business.
- Monitor competitor activity on specs, pricing, and lead times; share insights to influence strategy.
5. Reporting & Compliance:
- Keep CRM fully updated with contacts, notes, files, pipeline stages, and close dates.
- Submit accurate forecasts and activity reports weekly.
- Participate in pipeline reviews, win/loss analysis, and sales meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-5 years proven sales closing experience in building materials, construction, interiors or fenestration.
- Consistent top-quartile performer with documented win rates of 30% on qualified opportunities.
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings/BOQs and communicate effectively with architects, QS, and contractors.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills in English & Swahili.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Google Workspace, and WhatsApp Business.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with aluminium window/door systems, curtain walls, shower cubicles, or balustrades.
- Existing networks with developers, contractors, or architects.
- Knowledge of quality/warranty considerations and site compliance requirements.
