Field Technician - Passive Maintenance
The selected candidate will have capacity to handle and maintain assigned clusters of up to 40 Telecom sites.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on telecom sites power systems, including Power equipment, ATS, AMF, generators, rectifiers, DC and AC power systems.
- Monitor and respond to Galooli/RMS alarms and issues through remote monitoring systems, ensuring prompt resolution of power-related problems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on solar power systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform cable management to ensure safe and efficient operation of power systems.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance following the set standards to keep equipment in working condition to avoid any failure/downtime and ensure 100% availability.
- Troubleshoot and rectify faults in power systems, restoring them to operational status within the SLAs.
- Adhere to all safety, health, environment, risk and quality policies and procedures ensuring self-working environment. Identify and escalate any health and safety hazards to the relevant teams for alignment.
Key skills and qualifications required:
- 3 years Maintenance Experience with Diesel Generator, Solar Systems and Network AC / DC Power.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering from TVET institution or NYS and Electrical Certificate (EPRA)
- Driving Licence plus 3 years driving experience
