Job Summary

The Field Waste Manager is responsible for overseeing daily field operations and ensuring efficient waste collection, sorting, transportation, and disposal activities. The role involves supervising field staff, monitoring operational performance, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promoting efficient waste management practices to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field waste management operations.
  • Supervise waste collection, sorting, loading, and transportation activities.
  • Ensure waste management activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate field teams and allocate daily assignments.
  • Monitor the proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges promptly.
  • Promote continuous improvement in waste management processes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities where necessary.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in waste management or field operations is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
