The role

The successful jobholder will be expected to:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for the Finacle CBS.
  • Monitor system performance and availability to ensure optimal uptime.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve incidents within defined SLA.
  • Configure and customize the system according to business and user needs.
  • Handle user queries and functional issues from branches and departments.
  • Coordinate with vendors for system support and timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain operational documentation, change logs, run books, and knowledge base articles.
  • Conduct regular patching, upgrades, and version control across all environments.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Deploy patches, parameter changes, and configuration updates as scheduled.
  • Support integrations with various channels and peripheral systems.
  • Provide support to assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Guide, upskill and mentor fellow team members.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting and using Banking Applications.
  • Proven hands-on experience with all Finacle CBS version 10x/11x modules.
  • Finacle 10x/11x functional and technical training.
  • Expertise in Unix Operating Systems (AIX, RHEL, Solaris).
  • Experience with Java Application Servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss).
  • Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS Administration, as well as SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • ITIL Certification and Project Management skills.
  • Expertise in business requirements documentation and design thinking methodologies.
  • Strong business relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
