Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily accounting, accounts payable/receivable and financial records.
  • Reviewing bank, mobile money and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinating payments and monitoring cash requirements.
  • Ensuring timely statutory filings and tax compliance.
  • Preparing routine monthly financial reports and management schedules.
  • Supervising and supporting junior finance team members.
  • Maintaining audit-ready documentation and coordinating audit requirements.
  • Improving finance processes, systems and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
  • CPA qualification required; CPA(K) preferred.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in a growing SME or multi-project environment.
  • Strong experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP/AR and statutory compliance.
  • Experience supervising junior finance staff or interns.
  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Good understanding of Kenyan tax and statutory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, financial discipline and ability to work independently.
