Role Purpose
The Finance Manager for Business Technology Services (BTS) is responsible for managing and optimizing the financial operations of BTS. This role ensures accurate financial planning, cost control, and compliance while supporting strategic technology investments. Additionally, the Finance Manager oversees financial management of IT vendors and OEMs, ensuring timely payments, contract compliance, and cost efficiency. The Finance Manager partners with BTS leadership to streamline procurement, invoice reconciliation, and budgeting processes, enabling the department to focus on innovation and technical delivery
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with BTS objectives and overall business goals.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support BTS initiatives and growth.
- Advise BTS leadership on financial implications of technology investments and cost optimization opportunities.
- Monitor emerging trends in financial management for technology environments to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives by embedding financial governance in BTS systems and processes.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing scenario analysis, risk assessments, and investment evaluations for BTS projects
Operational
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations for BTS, including accounting, invoicing, payroll coordination, and cash flow management.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of vendor invoices, procurement transactions, and expense claims.
- Monitor BTS expenditure against approved budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and automate financial reporting tools and dashboards for BTS leadership and executive management.
- Implement cost optimization strategies for BTS investments, including vendor negotiations and contract reviews.
- Collaborate with BTS teams to define financial processes, reporting requirements, and performance metrics.
- Ensure accurate allocation of costs across BTS projects and services to support transparency and accountability.
Corporate Governance
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls across BTS operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for financial processes, policies, and risk management frameworks specific to BTS.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate, transparent, and traceable financial data.
- Promote accountability and financial integrity across BTS operations through robust internal controls and governance practices.
- Implement fraud prevention measures and conduct periodic reviews of BTS financial processes.
People and Culture
- Foster collaboration between finance and BTS teams to achieve shared objectives and improve crossfunctional efficiency.
- Mentor and develop finance staff supporting BTS, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
