Background

Our client, a Mauritius-based equipment leasing company focused on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Africa with subsidiaries in Tanzania and Kenya, providing flexible leasing solutions to help African businesses grow and succeed is looking to recruit a Financial & Data Analyst.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging expertise in financial modeling and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities.

  1. Manage financial modeling and forecasting for the Group’s performance, supporting strategic planning and debt/equity fundraising.
  2. Develop asset, liability, and cash flow models to identify funding needs and assess financial risks.
  3. Oversee data collection and management processes.
  4. Use data visualization to create reports for management, shareholders, and lenders, providing business insights.
  5. Collaborate with management to develop reports and generate actionable insights.
  6. Coach and transfer skills to key staff in subsidiaries on using data and visualization tools to meet local needs.
  7. Prepare standalone and consolidated budgets for the Group.
  8. Manage the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.

Key Qualifications

  1. Degree in finance, computer science or other numerate subject or recognised international professional qualification.
  2. ACCA or CPA qualified or ongoing.
  3. Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial reporting (essential)
