Curriculum and lesson planning: Developing and implementing art curriculum, creating lesson plans that are age-appropriate and engaging, and preparing materials for substitute teachers. Instruction and demonstration: Teaching students a variety of art techniques and mediums, providing demonstrations, and instructing them on the safe use of art tools and equipment. Assessment and feedback: Evaluating student artwork, assigning grades, administering tests, and providing constructive feedback to help students improve. Classroom management: Maintaining an organized and safe learning environment, managing art supplies, and ensuring classroom order. Collaboration: Working with other teachers to integrate art into the broader curriculum and participating in parent-teacher discussions. Student engagement: Fostering creative expression, encouraging participation, and supporting student growth. Administrative duties: Maintaining student records, preparing reports, and coordinating art exhibitions or displays.

Artistic and creative skills: Proficiency in a wide range of art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. This also includes strong creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging projects. Knowledge of art history: A solid understanding of art history, various artistic styles, and contemporary art trends is essential. Communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues, and build positive relationships is crucial. Organizational and time management: Skills in planning, managing resources, handling multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines are necessary. Adaptability: The ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and age groups is important for creating an inclusive environment. Classroom management: The ability to maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment.
