FLOOR SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

The Floor Supervisor will oversee daily front-of-house operations, coordinate service staff, maintain service standards, and ensure customers receive an excellent dining and hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate floor staff during assigned shifts.
• Allocate duties and ensure adequate staff coverage.
• Monitor customer service and ensure high service standards.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, hostess, and management teams.
• Monitor table service, order accuracy, and service efficiency.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues professionally.
• Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of the dining area.
• Supervise staff attendance, grooming, conduct, and performance.
• Support staff training and provide guidance during service.
• Monitor stock and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure company policies, food-safety requirements, and operational procedures are followed.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate operational issues to management.
• Support the team during busy periods and special events.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant, hotel, café, or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent customer-service and communication abilities.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Organised, professional, and able to work under pressure.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
