Responsibilities or duties

This position is responsible for planning, execution, analyses and reporting on the Nairobi urban food system, food security surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of sector policies and programmes.

• Undertaking food system planning, appraisals and food security surveillance missions;
• Data analysis from food system appraisals and food security surveillance missions and reporting;
• Information and communication technological support for food system appraisal and food security surveillance missions;
• Facilitate implementation of the Nairobi Food System Strategy and other Food Policies;
• Monitoring and Evaluation of Food System programmes and projects;
• Document and disseminate lessons learned and good practices on food system; and
• Preparation of periodic reports

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Bachelor Degree in Agriculture and Rural Development, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Extension and Education or Community Development, Agri Business, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Economics, Food Systems and Food Security related disciplines from a recognized institution.
• Computer applications, research and statistical analysis proficiency will be an added advantage.

Experience needed
