General Purpose

Our client in the automotive industry wishes to recruit a Forklift Operator to support production and supply chain operations by ensuring efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods within the facility while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Location: Nairobi – Enterprise Road | Gross Salary: Ksh. 34,000

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Load and offload materials and stack them appropriately in designated storage areas.
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations and move finished goods to warehouse storage areas.
  • Move products and materials on pallets, crates, or skids to racks, stores, WIP areas, or trucks for dispatch.
  • Conduct forklift inspections at the start of every shift to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Perform basic maintenance such as greasing, oiling, and minor adjustments where necessary.
  • Report and tag any mechanical abnormalities and liaise with the engineering team for prompt resolution.
  • Ensure forklifts are cleaned at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain records of fueling and ensure timely refueling of the forklift.
  • Adhere to workplace safety procedures and operational guidelines at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid Driving License – Class BCE.
  • Valid Forklift / Reach Truck Certification (Class G).
  • Certificate in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of workplace and equipment safety procedures.
  • At least 2 years’ experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Age 25 – 35 years.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
