General Purpose
Our client in the automotive industry wishes to recruit a Forklift Operator to support production and supply chain operations by ensuring efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods within the facility while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
Location: Nairobi – Enterprise Road | Gross Salary: Ksh. 34,000
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and offload materials and stack them appropriately in designated storage areas.
- Transport raw materials to production workstations and move finished goods to warehouse storage areas.
- Move products and materials on pallets, crates, or skids to racks, stores, WIP areas, or trucks for dispatch.
- Conduct forklift inspections at the start of every shift to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Perform basic maintenance such as greasing, oiling, and minor adjustments where necessary.
- Report and tag any mechanical abnormalities and liaise with the engineering team for prompt resolution.
- Ensure forklifts are cleaned at the end of each shift.
- Maintain records of fueling and ensure timely refueling of the forklift.
- Adhere to workplace safety procedures and operational guidelines at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid Driving License – Class BCE.
- Valid Forklift / Reach Truck Certification (Class G).
- Certificate in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of workplace and equipment safety procedures.
- At least 2 years’ experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Age 25 – 35 years.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
