We are looking for passionate and driven Freelance Sales Representatives across Kenya to help grow our revenue by onboarding new advertising clients, sponsorship partners, and commercial collaborators. This is a results-oriented opportunity for individuals who thrive on performance, flexibility, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach, and convert new advertising and sponsorship prospects across industries (FMCG, EdTech, SMEs, NGOs, etc.)
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at prospective client organizations
  • Pitch and tailor Akili TV’s media offering to client needs, using media kits, ratings reports, and value propositions
  • Negotiate and close media buys, content sponsorships, and partnership deals
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure campaign execution and client satisfaction
  • Keep accurate records of prospects, outreach, follow-ups, and deal status using CRM or sales trackers
  • Support achievement of monthly sales targets

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, media buying, or business development (experience in advertising/media sales is a strong plus)
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong network in sectors such as education, FMCG, development/NGOs, or parenting-focused brands is a plus
  • Results-driven with a hunger to close deals
  • Familiarity with media/TV/digital sales is an advantage

Compensation

This is a commission-based freelance role. Successful candidates will earn competitive commissions on closed deals, with potential bonuses based on performance.
