Position: Front Office/Billing Assistant
Location: Nairobi
Gross Salary: Ksh. 35,000
Duties & Responsibilities
Front Office / Patient Management:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Handle patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-ins/check-outs.
- Manage incoming calls, inquiries, and direct them appropriately.
- Maintain and update patient information in the hospital management system (HMS).
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the reception area.
Billing & Finance:
- Generate and process patient bills accurately.
- Verify insurance details and eligibility; coordinate with insurance providers.
- Collect co-payments and other charges; issue receipts.
- Assist in preparing and submitting insurance claims.
- Follow up on pending bills, outstanding payments, and denied claims.
- Maintain financial records and prepare daily cash reports.
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and data privacy norms.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Degree in a Business-related course.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in front office or customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant computer applications.
- Ability to handle high call volumes and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Empathetic and patient attitude when dealing with customer concerns.
- Strong active listening skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing customer demands and company policies.
