Fuel & Telematics Administrator M/F
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor daily fuel consumption by vehicle, driver, and route to ensure compliance with approved fuel consumption benchmarks.
- Reconcile fuel transactions against telematics and GPS data, identifying and investigating fuel losses, anomalies, or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate fuel records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel consumption reports.
- Support implementation of fuel efficiency initiatives and monitor improvements against established KPIs.
- Administer GPS tracking and telematics systems, ensuring continuous functionality and timely escalation of system faults.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, idling time, speeding, harsh braking, unauthorized movements, route deviations, and driver behaviour through telematics systems.
- Analyse fleet performance data to identify underperforming assets and recommend corrective actions to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Prepare operational dashboards and performance reports covering fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, telematics compliance, and driver performance.
- Ensure compliance with company fuel management policies, telematics procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation to support internal and external audits.
- Liaise with drivers, supervisors and telematics service providers to resolve operational issues and improve fleet performance.
- Support investigations relating to fuel variances, telematics exceptions, accidents and operational non-conformities (Violations).
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Fleet & Transport Solutions Manager.
KEY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Fleet fuel management and fuel control processes.
- GPS tracking and telematics systems.
- Fleet performance monitoring and reporting.
- Transport operations and fleet management.
- Data analysis and performance reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with fleet management systems and telematics platforms.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in fleet management, transport operations, fuel management, or telematics administration.
- Experience managing GPS tracking systems, fuel reconciliation, and fleet performance reporting.
- Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS), Fleet Management Systems, or telematics platforms is an added advantage.
