Role Context

As our first engineering hire on the accelerator team, you will architect and build a mobile-first fintech product from scratch. You will play a central role in shaping the technical foundation and translating vision into a real, scalable product. This is a deeply hands-on role. You will design the architecture, write production-level code across backend and frontend, and establish the engineering standards that will define the venture long term. You will also manage and guide an external development team, ensuring high standards of execution, speed, and quality. Working directly with the CEO Office, you will turn ambitious ideas into secure, scalable, real-world solutions.

Responsibilities or duties

What You’ll Do:

• Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture
• Build and ship the first version of a mobile-first fintech product
• Write and review production-level code across the full stack
• Lead and coordinate external development agencies working on the project
• Establish AI-first ways of working with Claude Code / Cursor
• Make key decisions around tooling, infrastructure, and security
• Translate ambiguity into clear technical direction
• Balance rapid iteration with fintech-grade reliability and risk awareness

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Who You Are:

• A true full-stack engineer, experienced across backend, frontend, infrastructure and CI/CD
• An AI-first pioneer, working on .md files as much as you work on bare code
• A builder with strong fintech experience, having worked on financial products or platforms where security, reliability, and trust are essential
• Workflow-minded: you enable agents to become force-multipliers in your development teams
• Proven experience building products in the fintech space
• Experienced in building products from zero to one
• Product-minded and commercially aware
• Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity, fast-moving environments
• Passionate about enabling commerce through technology
