Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi for a Full Stack and Mobile App Developer. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining web applications across the front-end and back-end, as well as building and supporting mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, integrating APIs, managing databases, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features. The developer will participate in code reviews, optimize application performance, contribute to technical documentation, and support deployment and release processes. The role also includes working closely with stakeholders to refine solutions and ensure a high-quality user experience.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Software Development and Programming skills, with experience in full stack web development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, or similar frameworks) and mobile app development (e.g., Flutter, React Native, or native Android/iOS).

Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to understand requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and design scalable, maintainable solutions.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues, explain design decisions, and document code and systems clearly.

Candidates should possess foundational Sales or customer-facing skills to gather feedback from users or clients, understand business needs, and help align technical solutions with product goals.

Relevant qualifications include a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, experience with version control (e.g., Git), familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, and knowledge of secure coding and best practices.

Additional beneficial skills include experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, UI/UX fundamentals, testing frameworks, and the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
