The Grounds Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the hospital’s outdoor environment. The role ensures that all hospital grounds, gardens, walkways, parking areas, and surrounding premises are well-maintained, safe, and present a clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Supervise daily activities of grounds maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate landscaping, gardening, irrigation, pruning, and general maintenance activities.
  • Ensure cleanliness of outdoor areas including walkways, gardens, and parking areas.
  • Oversee planting, lawn care, and beautification initiatives.
  • Supervise contractors involved in landscaping and external maintenance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of grounds equipment and tools.
  • Monitor irrigation systems and ensure efficient water usage.
  • Manage inventory of grounds maintenance tools and supplies.
  • Ensure equipment is functional and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain outdoor infrastructure and surrounding facilities.
  • Identify and address safety hazards in hospital grounds.
  • Coordinate pest and vegetation control activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental safety standards.
  • Promote environmental sustainability practices where applicable.
  • Develop schedules for grounds maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance activities and resource needs.
  • Monitor performance of grounds maintenance operations.
