Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Life Underwriting Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and pricing group life insurance risks, ensuring profitability and compliance with company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite group life insurance applications, assessing risks and determining appropriate premiums.
• Analyze financial statements, medical reports, and other relevant data to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the sales and customer service teams.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of underwriting guidelines and processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in underwriting (e.g., ACII, FLMI) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in group life underwriting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
