Responsibilities or duties
Prospecting and Relationship Management:
- Identify and approach new business opportunities within the HORECA sector.
- Build strong relationships with purchasing managers, chefs, F&B managers, and business owners.
- Conduct regular visits to clients to understand their needs and provide product solutions.
Sales Execution and Target Achievement:
- Meet or exceed monthly sales & new accounts targets for the assigned territory or account list.
- Implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns tailored to the HORECA channel.
- Follow up on leads, prepare quotes, and negotiate terms to close deals effectively.
Account Management:
- Ensure timely deliveries and monitor stock levels in client outlets.
- Resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery, or payment promptly.
Market Intelligence and Reporting:
- Gather and report feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Provide insights to the marketing team to support HORECA-specific initiatives.
- Submit regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and key account updates.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with the sales, logistics, finance, and marketing departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support trade marketing activities such as sampling, product demos, and promotions in HORECA outlets.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
Experience needed
Experience:
- 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably within the food & beverage, hospitality, or FMCG sectors.
- Prior experience working with or selling into the HORECA channel is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of the foodservice industry and consumer trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
