Meal Preparation & Delivery: Prepare and cook meals, ensuring they meet the nutritional, dietary, and cultural requirements of patients and staff. Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene, following regulations like HACCP and infection control policies. Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor and order food supplies, manage inventory, and ensure proper food storage to prevent spoilage. Kitchen Management: Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Staff Supervision: Train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to safety procedures and maintain quality standards. Menu Planning & Development: Develop, update, and coordinate meal recipes and menus with dietitians, ensuring meals are appealing and nutritionally appropriate. Cost Management: Work towards achieving and exceeding food and labor cost management objectives for the department. Compliance: Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with all hospital policies, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
