Background

Tamarind Group is looking for an energetic HR and Training Assistant to support daily HR work and staff learning programs. This role helps improve skills, support staff needs, and keep HR operations running smoothly.

What you will do:

  • Support talent management, succession planning, and staff assessments
  • Update HR and training trackers every week
  • Share training information with staff and help identify training needs
  • Manage onboarding documents and keep employee files updated
  • Build a list of training partners and providers
  • Support recruitment, shortlisting, and interview coordination
  • Handle staff grievances with care and professionalism
  • Prepare contracts, confirmation letters, and HR paperwork
  • Track payroll changes and work with Finance
  • Conduct regular staff training, including induction

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
  • At least 2 years HR experience
  • Good knowledge of HR policies and Kenyan labour laws
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and strong planning skills
  • Integrity and ability to handle confidential information
