Background
Our client, who has successfully been providing air transport support to the Humanitarian, Relief, Resource, and Tourism sectors across the continent for many years, is seeking an HR Manager.
Role Overview
The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resource management, including employee contracts, recruitment and separations, compliance, performance appraisals, training, and general HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, and staff exits.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and aviation industry standards.
- Manage employee contracts, benefits administration, and payroll coordination in collaboration with the Finance department.
- Lead the performance management process, including appraisals, feedback, and goal setting.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate capacity-building programs to enhance employee performance.
- Handle disciplinary cases, grievances, and conflict resolution with professionalism and fairness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with record-keeping regulations.
- Partner with leadership to build and sustain a positive work culture, supporting motivation, engagement, and retention across the organization.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of Kenyan labor laws, employment regulations, and modern HR practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and employee engagement.
