Job Overview:
Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to oversee and strengthen the organizations human resources operations. The role will focus on recruitment, staff development, performance management, and school-specific scheduling to ensure smooth institutional operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong HR management experience, excellent knowledge of Kenyan labor laws, and the ability to support both administrative and academic teams in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Employee Records
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding
- Conduct salary negotiations with selected candidates
- Prepare legally compliant employment contracts and maintain organized employee records
- Ensure all HR documentation is accurate and properly maintained
Payroll Coordination & HR Administration
- Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Maintain employee data and statutory records in line with compliance requirements
- Support HR administrative processes and reporting
Performance Management & Staff Development
- Develop and monitor professional development plans for staff
- Track employee performance metrics and support continuous improvement
- Promote a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance
School Operations & Staff Scheduling
- Coordinate leave management, including annual leave and sick leave coverage
- Manage teacher schedules and academic rotations to ensure smooth school operations
- Support operational planning related to staff allocation and availability
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution
- Act as a mediator in workplace disputes and employee relations matters
- Provide HR guidance to management and staff
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in human resources management
- Experience in an educational institution or service-oriented environment will be an added advantage
- Strong understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR compliance requirements
- Experience drafting employment contracts and managing HR documentation
