Responsibilities or duties

We are recruiting an HR Officer to support the day-to-day HR operations that keep our teams running smoothly. This role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and strong administrative support across the full HR function.

Key responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for middle and junior cadre positions.
  • Ensuring alignment with company policy and objectives.
  • Manage candidate communication, interview scheduling, and pre-employment checks.
  • Facilitate seamless onboarding experiences for new hires, including orientation and documentation.

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Administer and support the implementation of HR policies, plans, and procedures, providing guidance to junior staff.
  • Manage and maintain an efficient HR filing system, including personnel and subject files, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Administer employee exit processes, ensuring compliance with labour legislation and company policy.
  • Support accurate payroll administration and ensure efficient data management within the HRMIS/ERP.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory obligations.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Manage disciplinary processes adhering to company policy, code of conduct, and employment law.
  • Support and supervise employee performance management processes.
  • Coordinate and promote employee recognition programs
  • Lead or participate in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives

Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare and collate HR data for monthly management review reports.
  • Generate and distribute monthly probationary reports, ensuring timely communication with supervisors.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of daily attendance reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyse HR data to identify trends and support informed decision-making.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • CHRP-K or ongoing is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Kenyan labour law and statutory requirements
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Experience with HR systems / payroll software is an advantage

Experience needed

At least 5 years of experience in HR operations or HR generalist roles

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for middle and junior cadre positions.
