Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Management
- Manage daily HR operations including records, contracts, attendance, and leave.
- Support payroll accuracy with timely submission of data and statutory deductions. Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and employee induction.
- Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling in line with company policies and labour laws.
- Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 2007 and WIBA, 2007.
- Maintain and update HR policies, SOPs, and confidential employee records.
- Drive employee welfare initiatives and engagement activities.
Occupational Health & Safety
- Implement and monitor workplace safety policies under OSHA, 2007.
- Conduct safety inductions, participate in risk assessments, inspections, incident reporting, and investigations.
- Coordinate the Safety and Health Committee as per OSHA guidelines Oversee PPE compliance and inventory management.
- Manage workplace injury claims under WIBA and support return-to-work processes.
- Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and monitor timber-specific risks.
- Support compliance with NEMA requirements on emissions, waste, and environmental obligations.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records and reports.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in HR Management, OHS or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Sound working knowledge of labour laws and workplace health and safety standards
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information
