MOMBASA YOUNG MOTHERS Stylish Hub is hiring. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team.

Job Purpose

To provide professional hairdressing and hair-care services to clients while maintaining high standards of hygiene, customer service and creativity. The Hairdresser will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where clients receive quality and affordable beauty services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Hairdresser will:

• Consult with clients to understand their preferred hairstyles and hair-care needs.
• Provide hair services including washing, conditioning, blow-drying, styling, braiding, weaving and other appropriate treatments.
• Perform haircuts, trims and hair shaping according to client preferences.
• Apply hair treatments and products safely and appropriately.
• Recommend suitable hair-care products and routines to clients.
• Keep up to date with current hairstyles, techniques and beauty trends.
• Maintain clean and organised workstations and equipment.
• Sterilise and properly store hairdressing tools and equipment.
• Observe health, hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Handle hair-care products and chemicals safely.
• Maintain professional and respectful relationships with clients.
• Manage appointments efficiently and minimise waiting time.
• Maintain appropriate records of services and products where required.
• Report equipment or product shortages to the Hub Manager.
• Support promotional activities and customer-retention initiatives.
• Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.
• Participate in skills-development and training activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Hub Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy or a related field is preferred.
• Practical experience in professional hairdressing is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of hairstyles and hair treatments.
