Role Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and passionate Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team at Shompole Camp. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and ambiance across the guest tents and public areas, creating a serene and welcoming retreat in the wilderness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team, ensuring all guest tents and public areas are impeccably maintained.
  • Oversee laundry operations and manage linen and guest amenity inventories.
  • Ensure all cleaning and laundry practices align with the camp’s sustainability and conservation ethos.
  • Work closely with the Lodge Manager to ensure guest rooms are prepared to the highest standard for each arrival.
  • Manage housekeeping supplies and budgets, considering the logistical needs of a remote camp.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or Senior Housekeeper in a high-end, remote safari lodge.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful, comfortable spaces.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and training skills.
  • A commitment to sustainable practices.
