Role Description
The Head of Finance and Administration is a full-time, on-site role based in Kakamega County, Kenya.
This role oversees all financial management activities, including planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow monitoring, to ensure the institution’s financial health and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The position also manages administrative functions such as office operations, procurement, and facilities, and supports the development and implementation of internal controls and policies.
The Head of Finance and Administration will lead and mentor the finance and administrative teams, collaborate with senior leadership on strategic decision-making, and provide data-driven insights to support growth and risk management.
The role includes regular review of financial statements, coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies, and continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Qualifications
CPA(K) qualification and active membership in good standing.
Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
5 years plus experience in the financial services or finance industry.
Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
Strong analytical, leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
