SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or related field (postgraduate/pro certification is an advantage)

7–10 years’ experience in food retail, FMCG, wellness or nutrition-focused environments.

Strong commercial and financial acumen with strategic thinking and hands-on delivery

Responsibilities

Lead the Foods category strategy end-to-end, driving sales growth, margin optimisation, promotions and portfolio expansion across retail and digital

Own the activation calendar and in-store execution standards, partnering with Retail Ops to deliver consistently across branches

Build strong team capability through product training for store teams and coaching Foods supervisors for performance and succession

Improve stock health and reduce waste through lifecycle governance, forecasting inputs, rotation and markdown strategies for slow-moving and near-expiry items

Protect customer trust by upholding food quality, compliance, supplier standards and traceability, while using trends and customer insights to guide innovation
