Our client operating in the financial services sector has retained our services to support hiring process for the position of Head of HR. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee and provide leadership to the Group Human Resources function across multiple entities, ensuring alignment of people strategy with business objectives in line with the Group’s overall strategic plan. This role requires a transformational leader capable of operating at executive level, strengthening governance frameworks, driving performance culture, managing regulatory risk and building a scalable human capital infrastructure to support growth in a regulated fintech and technology environment.

  • Lead and implement a Group-wide compensation and benefits strategy focused on competitiveness, internal equity, regulatory compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning aligned to business growth projections and productivity optimization targets.
  • Strengthen and institutionalize performance-linked reward systems aligned to financial, operational and strategic outcomes.
  • Oversee accurate, compliant and timely payroll management across the Group, including statutory deductions and reporting obligations.
  • Provide workforce analytics and people-related financial insights to support executive and Board decision-making.
  • Develop and sustain a strong talent pipeline aligned to business needs, service standards and future leadership requirements.
  • Ensure the Group’s values are embedded and consistently lived across all levels of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain a robust Group HR governance framework ensuring harmonized policies, procedures and standards across all entities.
  • Oversee the creation, review, implementation and enforcement of HR policies in compliance with Kenyan labour laws and internal governance standards.
  • Lead performance management frameworks including Balanced Scorecard implementation and continuous performance evaluation systems.
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive Team on organization design, succession planning, executive compensation advisory and leadership effectiveness.
  • Lead organizational development, change management and transformation initiatives to support scalability and sustainable growth.
  • Provide oversight of end-to-end recruitment processes across the Group, ensuring quality hires and a strong candidate experience.
  • Oversee succession planning frameworks and internal mobility pathways. Support/ Supervise end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring quality hires and an excellent candidate experience.
  • Design and implement leadership development and succession management programs aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Oversee structured learning platforms, mentorship programs and skill-building initiatives to build future-ready capabilities.
  • Drive strategic change management programs to support digital transformation, expansion and evolving business models.
  • Advise leadership on restructuring, performance interventions and workforce risk mitigation where necessary.
