JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

GIDEONS MISSION HOSPITAL is a faith-based health institution owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru. It is located in Nakuru CBD along West Road, 200m from the State House Junction.

Our facility will be Offering evidence based consultative, comprehensive, preventive, Promotive, curative and all rounded healthcare under one roof and supported by Ultra-modern medical equipment, Outpatient Services, Inpatient Services, Maternity Services, Theatre, and HDU/ICU.

We are proud to announce the grand opening of our facility which is scheduled for late 2026.

Our Hospital is strategically situated for easy access by residents of Nakuru and surrounding areas. We will be available on all mapping platforms on the official launching date of the facility.

Health Records & Information Technologist – 8 Positions

Salary: Ksh 30,500–38,000

Job Summary

The Health Records & Information Technologist will manage patient health records and support the accurate collection, storage, retrieval, analysis, and reporting of health information.

Key Responsibilities

• Register patients and maintain accurate demographic and clinical records.
• Manage electronic and physical health records.
• Ensure patient information is accurately captured and updated.
• Retrieve and provide records to authorized healthcare personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
• Generate routine health information reports and statistics.
• Support coding, indexing, filing, and data-quality activities.
• Identify and correct gaps or inconsistencies in health records.
• Assist with health information audits and reporting requirements.
• Support effective use of electronic medical-record systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Health Records and Information Technology/Management.
• Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical-record systems.
• Strong attention to detail and data-management skills.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and health-information regulations.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
