Job Summary
Responsible for managing patient health records and healthcare information systems while ensuring accurate, secure, and confidential handling of medical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Register patients and maintain accurate patient records.
- Capture, update, retrieve, and file health information.
- Maintain both electronic and physical medical records.
- Ensure patient information is accurate and complete.
- Manage records according to applicable health-information policies.
- Support data entry, reporting, and health-information analysis.
- Generate routine statistical and administrative reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Assist users with health-information systems where required.
- Ensure proper filing, archiving, and retrieval of records.
- Support data-quality audits and records-management activities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Health Records and Information Technology/Management or a related field.
- Relevant professional registration where applicable.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of health-information systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good data-management and organizational skills.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity.
