Job Summary
The Site Health & Safety Intern will be required to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and advise on minimizing hazards or unhealthy situations in the upcoming projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring proper use of PPEs by workers while conducting monitoring on compliance.
- Raising daily concerns from issues on-site that may pose potential hazards.
- Housekeeping/record keeping on site
- Maintaining records of safety inventories
- Eliminating physical hazards through the maintenance of good housekeeping.
- Responsible for keeping a daily record of workers/employees on site on a daily basis.
- Report writing
- Write daily, weekly safety and health reports or injury logs and submit them to the Health and Safety officer.
- Daily reporting of site compliance, incidents, and accidents reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health & safety
- Basic training in either First Aid, Fire Safety will be an added advantage
- Proven/prior competency in handling safety/health aspects in a construction site.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- NEBOSH certificate will be an added advantage
