Introduction

A Heavy Commercial Vehicle Driver is responsible for operating large trucks or commuter vehicles safely and efficiently over short or long distances. The role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, safety regulations, and delivery schedules while ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy commercial vehicles such as trucks and trailers
  • Transport goods to assigned destinations in a timely and safe manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and unloaded.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel usage.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly.
  • Handle basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Valid Drivers License for the corresponding position(preferably Class BCE)
  • Proven experience of more than three(3) years operating transportation and construction equipment such as commuter vehicles, truck- mounted cranes and aerial work platforms.
  • Aged 25-40 years.
  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
  • Good communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
