HOSTESS

Job Summary

The Hostess will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing the reception/seating area, coordinating table assignments, and ensuring guests receive a warm and professional first impression.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests upon arrival.
• Manage guest seating and table allocation.
• Assist with reservations and maintain accurate booking information.
• Provide menus and basic information about available services.
• Coordinate with waitstaff and floor supervisors to manage guest flow.
• Monitor waiting times and keep guests informed.
• Respond professionally to guest enquiries.
• Handle guest concerns and escalate complex issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area.
• Assist with special events and busy service periods.
• Maintain professional grooming and presentation at all times.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous hostess, receptionist, restaurant, or customer-service experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, friendly, and approachable personality.
• Professional appearance and good grooming.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous in a busy environment.

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
