JOB DETAILS:
Position: Hostess
Industry: Hospitality / Restaurant
Job Summary:
The Hostess will serve as the first point of contact for guests, creating a warm and professional welcome while managing seating arrangements and supporting smooth front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage guest seating and maintain an organized seating plan.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus where required.
- Manage reservations, bookings, and waiting lists.
- Provide accurate information about the restaurant, menu, and services.
- Monitor table availability and coordinate with waiters, waitresses, and supervisors.
- Attend to guest enquiries and requests professionally.
- Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception/entrance area.
- Support the front-of-house team in delivering excellent customer service.
- Handle guest concerns politely and refer complex complaints to the supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a hostess, receptionist, waitress, or in customer service is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, confident, and professional personality.
- Good personal grooming and presentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible shifts.
