JOB DETAILS:

The Housekeeper is essential to the guest experience, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas. This role demands an eye for detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to preserving the luxury appearance of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room Cleaning & Turnover:
  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to strict quality standards.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish room supplies (towels, toiletries, stationery).
  • Dust furniture, vacuum/mop floors, and clean mirrors/windows.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including tubs, showers, and toilets.
• Public Area Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness of corridors, stairwells, and public restrooms.
  • Vacuum entrance carpets and polish lobby furniture.
• Inventory & Reporting:
  • Report maintenance issues (broken fixtures, faulty lighting, leaks) immediately to the supervisor.
  • Manage and stock cleaning cart with necessary supplies and chemicals.
  • Accurately log completed rooms and report lost and found items.
• Guest Service:
  • Respond to guest requests for extra amenities (pillows, blankets, towels) promptly and politely.
  • Ensure guest privacy and security at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or commercial cleaning environment is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper usage, and safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit, able to push/pull heavy carts, lift up to 25 lbs, and stand/walk for the duration of the shift.
