It’s a 419 Bed Capacity Teaching and Referral Hospital serving the vast South-West Region of Kenya including but not limited to Bomet, Narok, Kisii, Kericho and Kisumu Counties. Over the years, the Hospital has grown to become one of the top healthcare institutions in the Country offering a wide variety of healthcare services. HOUSEKEEPER

Job Summary:

The job holder is responsible for providing exceptional cleaning and supportive services within a healthcare environment, ensuring a clean, safe, and compassionate space for patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities or duties

Job Responsibilities:

• Dust furniture and thoroughly clean all surfaces within the room.
• Organize and clean closets, ensuring items are neatly arranged.
• Replace dirty bed linen with clean ones and make the bed.
• Perform cleaning duties such as mopping the floor.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
• Empty trash containers and clean them as needed.
• Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Education/Qualification

• O-level/Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) certificate
• Certificate in Housekeeping will be an advantage
• Basic record-keeping skills (written records).
• Proficiency in spoken English/Kiswahili required.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision but also to collaborate with other team members when required.
• Valid certificate of good conduct
• Commitment to upholding Christian values and maintaining confidentiality
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience needed

• Minimum of 1 year’s working experience in a similar role within a healthcare environment will be an added advantage
